At one time or another, I've had Rough Collies (Lassie and Spot), a German Shepherd cross (Smokey), a Border Collie (Oreo, my first rescue, a beautiful five year old abused by her former owner), a Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog (Silver, the most loyal dog in the world) and a Labrador Retriever (Sam, an insanely active and huge puppy).

I've spent a lot of time scouring expert opinions, talking to breeders, and generally learning everything I can about getting a dog. So, I hope that means that I know a lot about choosing a dog.

And you're right - those aren't just funny looking puppies in the photo below. They're rock wallabies (sort of small kangaroos).
